Tuscania

Tuscania is a town known since ancient times: established with the name of Toscanella (tiny Tuscany), it covered a strategic position between the valleys of the Marta and Capecchio rivers. The city is just over 90 km from Rome and is an excellent destination for a day trip from the capital: there is a lot to see in the streets and countryside of Tuscania. The historic town center is a pleasant tuff village characterized by the reddish color of this rock. Among its streets one can stroll and browse the shops as well as look for suggestive eateries where to taste the excellent local flavors.
