Tarquinia

Tarquinia is a center of Southern Etruria, a symbol of Etruscan art par excellence and a medieval town of great beauty. The evocative historic center and the important Etruscan archaeological sites of Tarquinia are recognized as world heritage sites by Unesco: to learn about the greatness as well as the artistic refinement of the Etruscan people, one could (and very well should) visit the great Necropolis of Monterozzi and the National Etruscan Museum of Tarquinia.
